3G Compact Camera / DVR

After charging the battery, simply insert an active 3G SIM card into the unit and the unit is ready to go. The device has an SD T-Flash card slot that will accept cards up to a maximum of 8GB. This provides the ability to record what is being seen/heard for retrieval at a later time and this can all be remotely-controlled from the mobile phone from which the camera is connected to. The built in camera has a pinhole lens, which means that it can, if required, be covertly installed, which of course is perfect for remote surveillance applications. The motion activation system ensures that you won’t miss a thing and this facility has a sensitivity setting to avoid unnecessary motion activations.

In addition, this camera units’ zoom facility can be remotely-controlled and the camera software operating system has a PIN code application, so that not just anybody has the ability to remotely ‘dial in’ to your camera. If that is not enough, if required, the units’ built-in infrared system can activate when it gets dark, so that neither you or the camera will be ‘left in the dark.’

The internal rechargeable battery provides a standby time of up to 40 hours with a typical video calling in time of up to 5 hours if 3G signals in the area are good. However, the unit can if required, be powered full time from the 240V power supply/charger that is supplied with the product. If the camera is to be used in a ‘stand-alone’ situation as a security camera, then the included mounting bracket will be very useful

Please Note: This unit requires a 3G signal in vicinity in which it is deployed to enable the unit to be remotely viewed. A very poor 3G signal in the deployment area can reduce the video call in times dramatically. Unit will accept a T-Flash card up to a maximum of 8GB. Typical recording capacity for T-Flash cards - 1GB will record up to 16 hours of footage, 2GB up to 32 hours and 8GB up to 128 hours of recorded video footage. Video calls to this unit require a mobile phone with 'video call' facility - iPhone 4 'Facetime' facility cannot be used to video call / control the unit.
