The compact digital video recorder and the very high resolution covert camera can both be powered from mains power supply units a 12V vehicle supply or by rechargable battery packs that we can supplied as an option (12v 2000mA Ni-MH batteries). With the 12V (Cigarette Lighter) power supply the unit will be powered as long as the car battery has power. If choosing the battery option, then in total the system can then run for up to 17 hours without the need to connect the system to the mains supply or recharge of batteries. The mini recorder can be set to motion, scheduled or continuous recording mode and captures realtime video using its SD Card recording system, which will take up to a 16GB Card

This unit is a favourite of Private Investigators who often need a short-term stand-alone system that can deployed overnight or during the daytime inside a car or a property ‘looking outside’ to capture video evidence nearby without the need for an operative to be in attendance. Used in this way, the system can be set up to capture evidence of nuisance neighbours or acts of malicious damage to buildings, gardens or vehicles.
