Smoke Alarm Recorder (Voice Activated)

This non-functional common style smoke alarm with a built-in sound-activated recording system that is completely concealed. This product is the perfect audio surveillance solution for home or even at the office.

The donor device is a smoke alarm that is commonly available, so nobody will ever suspect that it is anything other than an everyday device. The voice recording system is powered from 3 x AA batteries (not supplied) and standard alkaline batteries will provide power for up to 7 days. The device uses less power when not recording and so deployments in a non-noisy environment will give operating times that are higher than this.

The unit is fitted with an SD card recording system that will take up to a 32GB SD card. The recording system is completely hidden within the unit and access to start/stop, charge the battery and change the SD card requires the smoke alarm to be opened up to expose the internals. Because everything is hidden within the smoke alarm this recorder gives nothing away.

Please Note: Generally 1GB of recording memory will give up to 18 hours of recording, so a 32GB SD card will store up to 576 hours of recordings. Playback on a PC is via SD card Reader (not supplied). The smoke alarm is not a working unit.
