On The Go Cable (Android / iPhone)

The On-The-Go Cable can enable you to playback recorded video and audio files directly to your Andrroid or iPhone negating the need for a desktop or laptop computer with USB port connectors.

Current statistics show that more than 85% of the worlds population posses or have access to a Smartphone. Many people purely rely on use their smartphone for everyday tasks and as such so many now do not possess a standard desktop or laptop computer. Following regular requests from customers who ado not own a computer, but who want to purchase and use one of our audio or video recording products, we decided to make offer a solution in the form of what is commonly known as an ‘On The Go Cable’.

Smartphone Direct USB Connection

After some trial and error we selected cables that we found worked without issues. Here we offer a connection cable that allows a USB storage device to be directly plugged into the charge port on eith your iPhone or Android Phone. After successful connection access to stored recordings on the connected USB device will be seen on the screen of the Smartphone and can be seelcted and played back on the phone. Obviously, there are limitations in relation to speed of use/playback and also effectiveness of the phones inbuilt speakers in comparison to a powerful computer, but despite this, use of the cable will get around the absolute requirement for a desktop/laptop computer.

For iPhone and Android Devices

Selectable from the drop down menu, we offer different solutions for both iPhone and Android device users. They do differ somewhat in price and it should be noted that no one cable will cover connection to both types of phone operating system. Each of our voice recorder and spy camera products is supplied with a USB cable, so the On-The-Go Cable will be able to connect to one of these USB leads. Establishing a connection between a connected voice recorder or spy cam will use some power from the phone’s internal battery.

Can this cable be used on all audio and recording camera products?

This will work with all audio recording products and camera systems that need to be connected to a computer by USB lead to view/playback/offload the recordings. Our Audio and Video WiFi devices do not require a cable connection to offload, so the On The Go Cable will not be required for these devices.

Is there a cable that will do both iPhone and Android connection?

We tested out a many cables, but failed to find one that would work with both operating systems, hence why we offer a choice.

• It should be noted that you will need to select the relevant cable for the type of phone that you wish to connection with, either iPhone or Android
• Cables are not cross compatible, so cannot be used on both types of operating system
• Neither cable is compatible with older Nokia, BlackBerry or Windows Mobile phone devices
• It should be noted that usage of an on the go cable can be affected by the current battery life of the connected phone
