Powered by a rechargeable 5600 mAh lithium battery, this wifi audio recorder offers long-term deployment without needing a constant power source (up to 7 months standby). For permanent use, you also have the option to connect it to an external power supply.

Setting up and using this device is simple, just like our other WiFi recording products. You can control all its settings remotely using our free smartphone app, which you can download from either the Apple App Store or Google Play.

Getting started is simple. First, ensure your smartphone is connected to the same 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network that you want the device to join. The app then uses Bluetooth to connect your phone to the device, completing the setup.

After this one-time process, you’ll be able to remotely configure and control your wifi audio recorder from anywhere in the world that your phone has an Internet connection. It should be noted that the device’s SSID (WiFi network name) is hidden during both setup and operation.

Other remote recording devices require a SIM card and a strong mobile signal, which can result in inconsistent connections and costly data or call charges. This wifi audio recorder avoids these issues by using Wi-Fi, which provides a more reliable connection and a higher degree of remote management.

Are there any outward features that would attract unwanted attention?

No. All Wi-Fi and audio recording electronics are completely hidden inside the chassis. A discreet, detachable base panel covers the internal controls and microSD card slot from view.

If this wifi audio recorder is unplugged from the mains supply, will it stop recording?

No. The internal rechargeable battery allows the device to continue operating seamlessly even if disconnected from mains power. It will continue capturing sound as long as the battery has charge remaining.

How well will this wifi audio recorder pick up audio if it is placed inside a cupboard?

For optimal performance, the device should be placed in an open area where the air cleaner looks natural. In an open room, the microphone picks up speech up to 8 metres away. Placing it inside a cupboard or drawer will dampen the sound and reduce microphone pickup range.

Does the dark front panel display any digital information or lights?

No. Although it resembles an LCD smoked glass display panel, it is purely cosmetic to give the appearance of a standard household air cleaner. No lights illuminate during operation.

Does this wifi audio recorder use the same app as your other Wi-Fi recording products?

Yes. It operates on the same dedicated app as our other Wi-Fi recording devices, allowing you to manage and monitor multiple units conveniently from a single account login.

How quickly can I access recordings on my smartphone after a sound alert?

Once the device detects sound and sends a push notification to your phone, it immediately begins saving the file to internal storage. You can access the app to stream or download the completed audio file as soon as the sound event ends.

Do I need a continuous internet connection for the recorder to capture audio?

No. If the local Wi-Fi network drops out, the device will still trigger on voice activation and save audio files directly to the internal 32GB memory card. However, a continuous Wi-Fi connection is required to receive real-time push alerts and manage settings via the app.

Will the Wi-Fi network or router show that this device is connected?

The device features a hidden SSID and stealth network protocol, meaning its wireless network name will not broadcast visibly to nearby phones or computers during setup or standard operation.

What happens when the 32GB memory card becomes full?

The device features an optional loop-recording setting in the app. When enabled, it automatically overwrites the oldest recorded files with new recordings so audio capture is never interrupted.

Can multiple family members or colleagues access the device from different phones?

Yes. You can log into the dedicated smartphone app on multiple smartphones using the same primary account credentials, allowing authorized users to receive alerts and manage recordings.
