Infinity Spy Phone Microphone

This infinity spy phone microphone is a specialist external pickup cable designed to plug directly into the earphone socket of our Tri-band Infinity Spy Phone model.

The external microphone maintains the standalone unit’s excellent audio quality, while allowing for more discreet placement of the spy phone.

This is ideal in situations such as vehicle deployments, where the phone needs to be well-hidden, or when concealed behind furniture, where it’s important to maintain a good microphone pickup range.

Discreet Audio Extension for Complex Concealments

In vehicle scenarios, the main handset might be placed deep within a concealed compartment—such as behind the dashboard, inside a glovebox, or under a seat—while the infinity spy phone microphone is positioned subtly near the passenger area to capture crystal-clear conversations.

Similarly, in a room setting, the phone can be hidden inside a cupboard, loft space, or behind a heavy bookcase, while the thin 1-metre cable allows the microphone capsule to be fed through small gaps or air vents closer to the target area.

Miniature Seed Mic Design

This infinity spy phone microphone operates as an ultra-compact “seed mic”, measuring just 5mm in diameter.

Its inconspicuous footprint makes it significantly harder to detect than standard microphones, allowing for creative, high-grade covert placement.

Can this infinity spy phone microphone be used with other audio recorders or standard phones?

No. This microphone is purpose-built and calibrated specifically for our Infinity Spyphone hardware. While it features a 3.5mm jack, the internal wiring and pin impedance are unique to Nokia spy phone sockets and will not function correctly on standard audio devices.

Can the microphone capsule be deployed outdoors?

The microphone is engineered primarily for indoor and vehicular environments. While it can operate briefly outdoors in dry, sheltered conditions, long-term exposure to rain, humidity, and temperature shifts may damage the capsule.

How far away can the microphone pick up voices?

Under normal room conditions, the high-sensitivity 5mm microphone capsule offers an audio pickup radius of up to 8 metres.

What if I need a cable longer than 1 metre?

If your surveillance scenario requires an extended lead beyond the standard 1-metre length, please contact Spy Equipment UK directly prior to ordering to discuss custom cable options.

Is the microphone noticeable when deployed?

No. Measuring just 5mm in diameter, the ultra-small “seed” capsule is designed to remain completely inconspicuous when routed through tight gaps or hidden along trim lines.
