This portable video recording solution is the choice of professional surveillance operatives and replaces our previous model that was an older key fob style and less discreet in design. The new spy camera device has a black body and silver buttons, with a standard design layout of the keys and with a simple button configuration so that there is no confusion on what to press when.

Remote Operation P2P WiFi Capability As Standard

An additional feature on the new key fob design is the WiFi connection capability. This allows the key fob user to connect to their smart device (Android/iPhone, etc.) and remotely control and operate the Key Fob Camera features. Start and stop recording without having to physically touch the key fob keys. View where the camera is aimed to ensure the subject matter is in view. Playback recordings remotely from the device via your Smartphone or similar device. This has only short range direct WiFi capability, however, to ensure that nobody else can find your Key Fob Camera from their smart device, the SSD of the Key Fob Camera can be hidden to keep it totally discreet if desired.

Full HD 1080p Video – Discreet Design And Operation

This Key Fob Camera is not only the only true HD 1080p (High Definition) broadcast video quality car key fob camera, but it is also arguably the best disguised available. The unit has no exposed USB connection sockets, SD card slots or any other ‘giveaway’ that would expose this hidden camera as anything other than a standard car key fob. Manufactured from quality materials, the device even feels weighty, like a standard car key fob. Concealing an HD CMOS camera with microphone for recording audio at the same time as video, this car key fob camera is the perfect portable surveillance solution. Snapshot Photo Facility- 5MP Still Capability

Although this covert camera unit is primarily made to record video footage at 1920 x 1080p HD quality, in addition, the Key Fob Camera also features a discreet snapshot capability, allowing you to take hundreds of photographs with a resolution of 2592 x 1944. On top of this, it can be used in motion activation mode for standalone deployment and has an infrared feature for close-up recording in low-light environments. All video footage and snapshots are time and date stamped for evidential reference purposes and there is a very tiny set of LED lights, that are very discreetly placed, but visible to the user, that indicate mode of operation.

Concealed SD Card Storage – Rechargeable Battery

The key fob’s internal rechargeable lithium battery provides up to 65 minutes of use (with WiFi on). The camera system automatically saves any footage if the battery runs out during recording, ensuring no data loss. This is particularly crucial for situations where continuous recording is essential, as it prevents the loss of critical evidence or captured moments. Video and photos are stored on the included 16 GB Micro SD card. The H264.Mov video format ensures universal compatibility, including with Mac computers. This format is widely recognized and supported by various media players.

You can access the files by connecting the key fob camera to a computer via USB, or wirelessly through a connected smart device using the P2P WiFi setup, without needing to remove the SD card. The P2P WiFi connection also enables live viewing, allowing users to monitor the camera’s feed in real-time on their smart devices.

No, it is a covert camera system disguised as a key fob. It cannot be paired up with a vehicle specifically for control, of vehicle locks, etc.

Has the device got motion detection facility?

No, motion detection is not supported due to battery life limitations.

How do I know if the subject that I am recording is in view?

By linking the Key Fob Camera to your smart device, you can view the camera’s perspective and control recording (start/stop/playback).

Will the Key Fob Camera accept a bigger micro SD, maybe a 64GB or 128GB card?

Larger micro SD cards (like 64GB or 128GB) are compatible if formatted to FAT32. However, the device’s battery life is relatively short, so it would likely need recharging before the card’s memory is full.

You will need to consider the following to use this equipment:

• To listen to recordings, you’ll need a computer with a standard USB port or a compatible smartphone and ‘OTG’ (on-the-go) cable.
• Consider keeping a spare micro SD card for quick swapping. This minimises downtime when the original card is full or needs to be accessed. Spare memory cards can be purchased from our recorder accessories section.
• The unit records approximately 30 minutes of video/audio per Gigabyte of storage. So a 32GB micro SD card would store about 64 hours worth of video footage.
