Air Freshener Voice Recorder

Part of our wider listening devices range, this covert air freshener voice recorder delivers reliable, long-term room monitoring across any home or workplace environment.

Designed and hand-built in the UK by our expert engineering team, its everyday appearance ensures complete discretion during deployment.

Inconspicuous Everyday Design

Clients frequently ask us for covert audio tools that blend seamlessly into normal surroundings without attracting attention.

Following the success of our Air Freshener Camera / DVR and WiFi variants, this air freshener voice recorder remains one of our top hidden audio recorders due to its incredible versatility.

Air fresheners are ubiquitous objects found on windowsills, high shelves, or office desks.

As a result, they sit in plain sight for weeks without drawing unwanted attention.

Because the device is lightweight and compact, it remains unobvious even if picked up.

Unlike a hidden camera, it captures clear room audio without needing a direct line of sight to the subject.

Easy Setup & Silent Operation

Operating this standalone air freshener voice recorder requires no prior technical expertise, and setup takes just seconds.

Simply charge the internal battery, flip the power switch, snap the front panel back into place, and position the unit in your target environment.

The automated system begins recording as soon as the sensitive microphone detects sound, automatically pausing after one minute of total silence to conserve memory space and battery life.

The recorder operates entirely silently with no moving parts or audible alerts.

A discreet internal LED pulses briefly upon startup to confirm operation, but this light is completely hidden once the back cover is secured.

When you are ready to review captured evidence, simply remove the fascia and switch off the unit.

Plug it into any Windows PC or Mac using the supplied USB connection cable to listen to files through standard media software like VLC.

Unrivalled Battery & Memory Performance

Engineered for extended deployments, this **air freshener voice recorder** integrates an internal lithium battery and 8 GB flash memory carefully balanced so you never run out of power mid-operation.

The unit delivers an exceptional 12-month standby lifetime while waiting for sound triggers, alongside over 344 hours of continuous recording runtime.

The internal flash memory stores up to 288 hours of audio files, supporting up to 9,999 individual recording tracks.

In a typical room environment with eight hours of noise per day, the onboard memory capacity lasts up to 26 days before filling, leaving ample battery power in reserve.

Advanced Features & Evidentiary Protection

To ensure recorded audio is admissible for legal or investigative purposes, every file created is watermarked with an accurate time and date stamp (configured via Windows PC).

Users can also adjust the microphone sensitivity across five levels, which prevents false triggers in busy spaces and boosts audio pickup in quieter rooms.

Additionally, the device features selectable recording quality modes.

Choosing standard resolution provides the maximum 288 hours of storage, while high-definition mode yields crystal-clear audio for up to 144 hours.

The high-gain microphone comfortably captures speech up to a 10-metre (30-foot) radius in quiet environments.

The situations that would suit using this Air Freshener Voice Recorder cover a wide range of personal safety, safeguarding, and corporate asset protection needs.

Is the device silent and discreet in operation?

Yes, the device is digital and there are no moving parts or sound alerts that would alert attention in any way.

Does the air freshener still make the room smell nice?

Although the material at the front of the air freshener is impregnated with a nice scent, the unit does not odorise the environment in the normal way that a freshener unit would.

Are there any lights that would indicate that the device is recording?

When the device is switched into record mode a discreet LED illuminates for a couple of seconds, but then goes out and then there is no indication that recording is taking place. This LED can only be seen when the air freshener back has been removed to expose internal recorder workings.

Do the recordings have a time and date stamp?

Yes, this new unit now has the ability to reference each recorded file with a time and date so you will know when something has occurred.

Will the air freshener voice recorder still record if it is hidden away from view?

Yes, the recorder will still pick up sounds from the environment, although if it is heavily buried out of sight, the microphone effectiveness may be reduced.

How can the recordings be played back?

Recordings can be played back through computer speakers by plugging into the USB port of a Windows or Mac computer using the supplied connection cable. No special software is needed.

Can the voice activation feature be switched off?

No, the air freshener voice recorder is always set to voice activated recording. There is no straight record option.

Does the device record one big long file with no breaks or does it record numerous shorter recording files?

The recorder will record a new file each time the microphone picks up enough sound to start the recording process and then ends the file when the sounds stop.

You will need to consider the following to use this voice recorder:

• Although a scent has been applied to the front material, the product will not actively create a freshening odour like a regular air freshener.
• There is no special password system to restrict access to recorded files when connected to a computer.
• It is recommended that lithium batteries are charged and fully discharged regularly to keep them in optimum operational condition.
• You will need a computer with speakers attached if wishing to playback recordings through your PC or Laptop.
• You will require a media player on the computer for playback of audio files. It may be worthwhile downloading a free media player such as VLC Media Player.

• Very high-quality audio recording capability with automatic level control.
• Voice (sound) activation is a standard pre-configured feature.
• Sensitive microphone with up to a 10-metre (33-foot) sound pickup radius.
• No outward visible sign of a microphone or any other switches, ports, or indicators.
• Discreet LED light shows for two seconds when recording is activated (when back is off unit).
• Air Freshener vent material can be sprayed with scent for an aromatic disguise.
