Are there any external switches or outward signs that the device is anything other than a double adapter plug?

Apart for a minute microphone hole discreetly located on the underside flat face of the the plug there is nothing externally that would cause any suspicion or grab any unwanted attention.

Does anything light up or are there any sounds that would cause suspicion?

Everything is hidden within and as a surveillance product it has been designed with no external LED’s or sound notifications. Everything is controlled through the smartphone app.

Without a computer, how easy is it to keep a track on my recorded files?

Each recorded file is time and date stamped, so it is easy to catalogue them. if you wish to retain the recordings then they can be downloaded through the smartphone app.

Has the WiFi Double Adapter got a back up battery that will keep the audio device functioning if the mains power supply becomes disconnected?

During the design phase this was considered, although there was insufficient room within to accommodate any back up battery which means that it will cease to function when disconnected.

When the WiFi Double Adapter is unplugged, will the operational settings be retained or will it be a matter of starting again?

it’s not the case that you will have to start gain. The settings will be retained, however when the plug is plugged back into the power supply it will after a 5 minute wait, during which new setup procedure must be ignored, return to the original (previous) settings.

• This product is operated through either an iPhone or Android phone, so you will need to have access to one of these smartphones to use this product.
• The product is controlled via a free app that will need to be downloaded and installed onto your smartphone
• Cannot be deployed in a location that does not have an accessible WiFi connection with single password access, as opposed to a two stage setup such as used hotels or general access WiFi
• If your WiFi is only set to deliver 5GHz then you will need to switch on the 2.4GHz transmission by accessing the router settings as the WiFi Double Adapter only operates on 2.4GHz frequency.
